Rolex Daytona 116503 Review
Some watch enthusiast will summarize the “rolex factor” like this: there are watches, and there are rolexes. This might seems as an exaggeration but the the most iconic watch brand is certainly Rolex 👑.
Among their models the most sought after is probably the Daytona: almost impossible to get in the steel version with ceramic bezel, the very limited supply (artificial or not) and high demand made some less popular models, like the bi-color 116503 more loved and also difficult to get at the retail price.
Here is a short review of the Rolex Daytona 116503 with Champagne dial:
the watch, born as a sport chronograph, is certainly more dressed up or elegant in the gold/steel combination
the dial is a of champagne color but can appear to be of the same shade of rolexor (rolex proprietary yellow gold alloy)
depending on the lighting the color might appear as a dark yellow or a ligther shade of yellow
with 100 mt water resistance and a lot of vesatility (you can wear it with virtually anything) this watch is at home in a boardroam as much as it is at the pool
watches are not investments but it is difficult to ignore the value appreciation factor that a Rolex Daytona offers today.
Given the low interest rates I don’t see the demand to fade anytime soon. Regardless of the value factor the Rolex Daytona 116503 is an excellent choice for a watch that is bold and confident without being pretentious.
I believe that Rolex still offers the higher value in the luxury watch segement and it is not easy to understand why.
A Rolex is robust, reliable (now with a 5 years warranty) and forever. A Rolex Daytona is simply the best Chronograph ever made.
